Hi, Kat. I am wondering, how would you approach a guy you would like to introduce yourself to?
Anonymous

It really depends. I think there is a part of me that’s still 16, and I can’t approach some men I find attractive.

But then there’s a part of me that realizes every interaction you have is a chance to find something in common with other people. If I am at a party, I usually introduce myself with a handshake or a hug. For conversation, just bring up who you both mutually know, or maybe talk about what you are doing with you life. Always be ready to ask questions. People, I have found, most like to talk about themselves.

Remember that.

In a bar, I always shake hands and make eye contact. Always. I ask what they are drinking, talk about this or that. I also usually will play pool or darts against them.

You have to realize a couple things about men, or at least the majority of men, sometimes they just aren’t paying attention. They just don’t get it. Don’t be offended. He’s just not on your level. Regroup and wait for him to realize that your genuine interest in meeting him, is genuine because you noticed something appealing about him.

I mean, or you could introduce yourself and flirt, which usually for me is just like those reality/expectation gif sets on that whatshoulwecallme tumblr.

What would you do if a guy you have been dating said he wasn't too keen on the idea of "girlfriends," as in the term. Should I run?

Do you want to be someone’s girlfriend? Then bounce. It may be doubtful, but maybe he doesn’t like the term “girlfriend”, in which case he should express upon being asked.

Honestly, some men are out there (in the dating world) for one reason and one reason only, and it’s to get some. Some being you, in bed.

Do yourself a favor and write down some of the qualities that you want out of a relationship, write down things you give to a relationship. Know your worth, if any guy is worth getting to know then he too should be aware of the give and take of a relationship, not just titles.

He appreciated those who had a taste for indolence, liked daydreaming, welcomed the emotions sparked by listening to Mozart’s operas and could be thrown into hours of bittersweet thoughts after just one glimpse of a beautiful face in a crowded street.

Young And Beautiful

Will you still love me when I am no longer young and beautiful
Will you still love me when I got nothing but my aching soul

Dear Lord, when I get to heaven, let me bring my man.
When he comes tell me you’ll let him in.
Father tell me if you can
All that grace, all that body
All that face, makes me wanna party
He’s my sun, he makes me shine like diamonds.
