I want simple things in life. The love of a good man. To do something I love. To spend Sundays elbow deep in flour, kneading dough. I want to live in the city. I want to be a charming conversationalist. To hand down my favorite jewelry to my daughter. To host country brunches. To make all the gifts I give. To lend an ear and hand the young women who are similar to me. To travel. To love fully. 

I want simple things. I just need to stop putting obstacles in my way. I am my own worse road block. Stop over thinking everything, Katharine. Work hard. Love passionately. Learn as much as you can. Don’t be afraid. Don’t underestimate your worth and your ability. 

You can do it.
