Discussions about Girls via twitter. Apparently there has been some criticism, as there should be, it means people are watching it.

Personally, I have the cheers the writing. It captures the uncomfortable awkwardness that comes with being an “off kilter” girl in a big city, the true pain of relationships sexual or otherwise, your parents making you leave the nest(of money), finding a job, and that girl that always tells you that “you are such a Carrie.”

Maybe it’s because I have heard and witnessed first hand accounts of the scenarios that Girls has portrayed. Maybe it’s because I feel bad for Hannah’s character. I liked the show, and am looking forward to what other gems it has to share. Maybe it’s because life as a young female writer in your twenties is filled with failed attempts at witty banter and yelling at your friend not to text that asshat that is just using her.

“my life is uncomfortable sexual encounters and my parents telling me they can’t support me financially” Truth.
