So, I have a full time job. As a recent college graduate, I have decided that the next year of my life will be dedicated to working my tush off to earn and save money. I also have a part time job. I have been spending my days working in a Health Food & Holistic Healing Products Store. I am mainly in charge of the Food, the organic produce and helping carry heavy boxes. Oh, yes and the social media and technological end to the business. The same for my other job, at a record store about 3/4 of a mile away. I will be working as a clerk, sales associate, as well as vamping up any social media things. 

I also have to commute, about 30-45 mins each day to get here and back to the farm. I am in the process of trying to negotiate for me to live where I did last summer, literally 3 doors away from the health store, but who knows. I will probably miss the farm and all my pets and veggies. 

I also have been talking to someone who I had noticed around town and who contacted me on OKcupid, small world, huh. He lives about 30 miles East of the town I work, so approximately 60 miles from the farm. Not that moving closer would mean dating is possible, but it would eliminate more of a commute for everyone. 

Anyway, that’s a quick update as to my life. I am hoping this summer to get not only a Philly meetup to happen, maybe in Rittenhouse, but also a NYC meetup. Keep your eyes peeled, tumblr. Also, any music you think I need to know, please don’t hesitate to send me a message!

  2. paigewanderson said: Karen Dalton. The album “1966”, just released. Like good people, but good music. Quiet, private, never before heard recordings of country, bluesy, folksy tunes. My favorite being “Reason to Believe” Perfect porch sitting on a quiet country night.
  3. notesofgratitude said: Do you know of the Avett Brothers? They make fantastic music. I would start with “Head Full of Doubt.” My personal favorite is “Laundry Room” and a good summer jam by them is “At the Beach.” Give them a listen if you want. They are great!
