have you read fifty shades of grey? if so, what did you think?

I bought the trilogy on my Kindle so no one can tell when I read it, but if you see me laughing about what I am reading it’s probably it. It was ridiculous. Plot was weak and unbelievable, and the scandalous sex… meh. I watch True Blood, that is way more racy. 

It was a fantasy written for someone’s personal pleasure. I have heard that it started as a blog. Next thing you know TKoW will have a racy romance trilogy on the best selling…. oh wait…. no.

If you took it as a piece of literature worth critical time and effort, then you have to be kidding me. As someone who spent the last 5 years delving deeply into literary theory and critiques, I come to the conclusion that it is a marker on our literary timeline, but not for any genius but for it’s popular demand. 

It is a document to conclude a generational understanding, and their readiness to take a female character like that seriously.
