Could you do a "like this and i'll check out your blog"?

Goodness, not to be snarky or mean, because this is in an exasperated tone do you know how many people would end up clicking like, then, I would have to go through all that, and on top of that, I already follow 1,105 tumblrs, not to mention other blogs. 

Best way to get me to check out your blog is to start a conversation. I personally interact with a ton of my 1,000+ and that is why I follow them. Content is great, but personality is key.
