Hey there, thanks for the message.
First, let me clarify I think style is in the eye of the beholder, and that is why some people find different style suitable and pleasing. Second I would like to think my intelligence has nothing to do with my thinking someone else’s style is forced, rehearsed or otherwise (one can make observations, and politely suggest alternatives but outright mockery is low brow, at least in my opinion).
I like the gentleman of The Midwest Style. I like their style and I like that they put time, effort, and thought into their looks.
I think all bloggers that are involved in fashion style spend more than a few minutes planning their outfits. I am one of those people that doesn’t have the grace to roll out of bed and throw on what I stumble across and look nice. I plan, and there are people out there that probably think what I wear is too forced, too planned, and too rehearsed. But, that’s what great about the world. We can do anything we want. If we want to roll out of the house in a nascar tee and jeans, hell why not? If we want to wear Prada, Alexander McQueen, Hermes, Elie Saab, Commes des Garcons what have you, we can do it (if your pocketbook allows). If you, like me want to wear thrifted this, and bargained that, carefully chosen to flatter this and accent that, then let the gods of style bless you.
I can see for myself, thank you. And what I see, I like just fine.
I definitely prefer it over most of what I see men wearing on a day to day basis.
